Cardiff Aviation Limited was established in 2012 by seasoned aviation professional Mario Fulgoni, and Bruce Dickinson, vocalist with rock band Iron Maiden.
An unusual combination? Perhaps not. Mario is a former airline captain and has held senior management roles in a number of aviation businesses, including airlines and flight training.
Bruce Dickinson is a 7,000-hour-plus Boeing 757 captain. As well as his place in the music industry, Bruce has been a commercial pilot for 15 years – with many passengers on national carriers completely oblivious to the fact their First Officer, and then Captain, was one of the world’s most iconic rock stars.
The two, who are Joint-CEOs of Cardiff Aviation Limited, have worked together in aviation since 2001, and, in doing so, have gained a clear insight into what airlines and aircraft leasing companies require of maintenance and technical support organisations: on-time, on-budget delivery from a business that doesn’t stop working just because it’s 5pm on a Friday.
The Cardiff Aviation group encompasses Cardiff Aviation Limited, and BCT Aviation Maintenance, plus the resource of European Skybus Flight Training. More businesses will be absorbed into Cardiff Aviation group, with new joint-venture and partnership deals being signed and sealed, bringing even more experience, expertise and resource under one roof at Twin Peaks.
